Finally, most servers extend Minecraft using lots of server plugins, which allow for a whole range of extra gameplay features, including money systems, jobs, role-playing elements and teleports.
(You don’t need to modify your Minecraft game to add these features; they’re all handled by the server.) By now you’re probably thinking: This is all very well, but aren’t public servers a dangerous place for my kid?
I really would prefer Person-to-person encounters/chats instead of over the internet, but please feel free to send me a message or comments.
I've owned my PS3 for a few weeks now, and I've been Broadbanded for a few days now; I have some thoughts I'd like to share. okay, I have a couple of PS2 to PS3 Controller Coverters.
Of course, no public server is 100 percent safe, but there some fantastic Minecraft servers out there that cater especially to kids and families.
Playing Minecraft on a public server can take the game to a whole new level.
For one thing, there’s a new community of like-minded players to make friends with and collaborate with.
I may let him use my account as a process of elimination to see if they can connect together in a game successfully. sounds like your sub account that is made has parental restrictions on that account to change that youll want to go to your main account that you use and change it through the privacy settings on the menu I have now! This setting played havoc with the connection for both of the boys. Thanks for posting your solution as it may help others with similar problems (the "Host has left the game" error has been an issue, maybe this will help some of them). Kudos to you for tracking it outside the game AND outside the console- Sony might appreciate this bit of info as it could affect other games as well. People need to be more aware and confident logging into their routers so they can teach themselves how to do it with a bit of help from google.
It turns out it was Upnp (Universal Plug n Play) on my sons friends router that had extended security set to on. On his friends Ps3 it would show my son as online, but then when he went to connect to him it would state (the host has left the game) when in actual fact he was still online and in the game building etc. Thanks for your help on the Psn anyway, your info you sent me may help someone else I know. Kudos to you for tracking it outside the game AND outside the console- Sony might appreciate this bit of info as it could affect other games as well. Initially a guy above this post advised me he thought it was due to my son having a sub account with restrictions but this was not the case.
