You can ask Diane Lane about her relationship with Jon Bon Jovi. The thoroughly beautiful actress, who stars in the upcoming film "Secretariat," says she's "a little fuzzy" about recently published reports that her '80s relationship with the Jersey rocker fell apart when Bon Jovi caught her frolicking with his guitarist Richie Sambora. In the book "Sex, Drugs and Bon Jovi," the band's former tour manager Rich Bozzett writes that the "very thing that made Jon feel so passionate" toward Lane "ended up being the reason for their unceremonious breakup." Bozzett explains that Lane "was young and wild and loved to party. "Some people will just try and sell a book, and I can't blame them," Lane says, adding: "They can make up what they like. But she loved to party so much that Jon caught her partying with Richie Sambora." He writes: "That wasn't a good day for Jon's relationship with Diane, to say nothing of Jon-Richie relations." When we asked Lane, 45, if she had any response, she demurred: "My publicist said I could use a little edge, so I'll let others be quotable." With a laugh, Lane pointed out that her relationship with Bon Jovi took place "a quarter of a century ago, so I'm a little fuzzy." Judging from some of the pictures that appear in Bozzett's book, her beau at the time was even fuzzier. What was that line from the Cars' song, 'Let the Good Times Roll'? '" That said, although Lane cops to being a "a little rough-and-tumble" back then, she says, "it got me in much less trouble than would even show up on today's radar." Lane is now on the radar with "Secretariat," opening Oct. She plays Penny Chenery, a Denver mom and housewife who takes over her father's Virginia horse farm after he dies and ends up racing the title steed, which in 1973 became the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years.Since 2004, Lane has been married to "W" star Josh Brolin, which, we suspect, is an improvement over her fuzzy past.Bon Jovi spokesman Ken Sunshine told Page Six: “Rich is remembered as a nice enough guy who was eventually in over his head as the band’s success grew.1989 - Present Jon Bon Jovi married his high school sweetheart Dorothea Hurley in Los Angeles in 1989, and the couple has four children together: Stephanie Rose, Jesse James, Jacob Hurley and Romeo Jon.
“The very thing that made Jon feel so passionate toward Diane Lane in the first place ended up being the reason for their sudden, unceremonious breakup,” Bozzett writes. But she loved to party so much that Jon caught her partying with Richie Sambora.Jon Bon Jovi and his namesake band could seemingly do no wrong in the late ’80s.Still, it is fairly safe to say that the frontman broke many girls’ hearts when he married his high-school girlfriend Dorothea Hurley on April 29, 1989.That wasn’t a good day for Jon’s relationship with Diane, to say nothing of Jon-Richie relations.” Bon Jovi reconciled with high school sweetheart Dorothea Hurley, and married her in 1989. It’s possible Dorothea never knew about Bon Jovi’s trip to Japan 25 years ago — when, Bozzett’s self-published book claims, Jon contracted “crabs,” pubic lice.“It may have been from a visit to a public bath house, or too close social contact with all the fashion models,” Bozzett writes.
